(through another group of narrators) Jabir said:"We were in the company of the Prophet (during the battle of) Dhat-ur-Riqa', and we came across a shady tree and we left it for the Prophet (to take rest under its shade). A man from the pagans came while the Prophet's sword was hanging on the tree. He took it out of its sheath secretly and said (to the Prophet (ﷺ) ), 'Are you afraid of me?' The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'No.' He said, 'Who can save you from me?' The Prophet (ﷺ) said, Allah.' The companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) threatened him, then the Iqama for the prayer was announced and the Prophet (ﷺ) offered a two rak`at Fear prayer with one of the two batches, and that batch went aside and he offered two rak`a-t with the other batch. So the Prophet (ﷺ) offered four rak`at but the people offered two rak`at only." (The subnarrator) Abu Bishr added, "The man was Ghaurath bin Al-Harith and the battle was waged against Muharib Khasafa."

It is related that Jabir said, "We were with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, at Dhat ar-Riqa'. We came upon a shady tree which we left for the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. A man of the idolaters came while the sword of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was hanging from the tree and unsheated it. He said, 'Are you afraid of me?' He said, 'No.' He asked, 'Who will protect you from me?' He repled, 'Allah.' The Companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, threatened him. Then iqama for the prayer was given and he led one group in two rak'ats and then they went back and he led the other group in two rak'ats. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did four and the people did two rak'ats." Abu Bishr said that the name of the man was Ghawrath ibn al-Harith, and the fighting was against Muharib Khasafa. It is related from Jabir, "We were with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, at Nakhl and he prayed the Fear prayer. Abu Hurayra said, "I prayed the Fear prayer with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, in the Najd expedition." Abu Hurayra came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, during the days of Khaybar.
