Sahih al-Bukhari 5605

Abu Salih and Abu Sufyan related that Jabir ibn 'Abdullah said, "Abu Humayd brought a cup of milk from an-Naqi'* and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to him, 'Will you not cover it, even if you only put a stick over it?'" [an-Naqi' is a place in wadi of al-'Aqiq.] Abu Salih related that Jabir said, "Abu Humayd, a man of the Ansar, brought a cup of milk from an-Naqi' to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'Will you not cover it, even if you only put a stick over it?'" Abu Sufyan related this from Jabir from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
