Hisham related from his father that 'Umar asked the people, "Who heard the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, made a judgement about the miscarriage?" Al-Mughira said, "I heard him judge that there was a good slave for it, male or female." He said, "Bring someone who will testify with you to this." Muhammad ibn Maslama said, "I testify that the Prophet* judged the like of this." Hisham ibn 'Urwa related from his father that he heard al-Mughira ibn Shu'ba relate that 'Umar consulted them about the case of a woman who had a miscarriage because of a blow to the stomach.
